📖 Complex Sentences là gì?

Câu phức (Complex Sentences) gồm 1 mệnh đề chính + 1 mệnh đề phụ, nối bằng các liên từ:

Liên từ Nghĩa Ví dụ
although mặc dù Although he studied hard, he failed the exam.
even though mặc dù (nhấn mạnh hơn) Even though she was tired, she kept studying.
while trong khi While some students prefer lectures, others like self-study.
unless trừ khi You won’t pass unless you study.

Chi tiết từng liên từ

1. Although / Even though (Mặc dù)

  • Diễn đạt sự tương phản — hai điều trái ngược nhau
  • Even though mạnh hơn although
  • Although education is important, many children cannot go to school.
  • Even though he failed twice, he didn’t give up.

2. While (Trong khi)

  • Diễn đạt sự đối lập giữa hai ý
  • While some people learn fast, others need more time.
  • While online learning is convenient, it has some disadvantages.

3. Unless (Trừ khi)

  • Nghĩa = If… not (Nếu không…)
  • Unless you study hard, you will fail. = If you don’t study hard, you will fail.
  • She won’t pass unless she revises.

Điền although, even though, while, unless:
