🚫 10 lỗi ngữ pháp phổ biến nhất

1. Subject-Verb Agreement

❌ Sai ✅ Đúng
The number of students have increased. The number of students has increased.
A number of people is affected. A number of people are affected.
The data shows a trend. The data show a trend.

Quy tắc: “The number of” + singular verb. “A number of” + plural verb.

2. Tense Consistency

❌ Sai ✅ Đúng
In 2010, the figure increases to 500. In 2010, the figure increased to 500.
Currently, people worked from home. Currently, people work from home.

Quy tắc: Dữ liệu quá khứ → past tense. Xu hướng chung/hiện tại → present tense.

3. Articles (a/an/the)

❌ Sai ✅ Đúng
There was increase in sales. There was an increase in sales.
A percentage of people The percentage of people (đã xác định)
In the 2020, … In ∅ 2020, …

Quy tắc: Đếm được số ít cần article. Năm đứng một mình không cần “the”.

4. Countable vs Uncountable Nouns

Quy tắc: information, advice, research, evidence, knowledge → uncountable.

5. Prepositions

6. Passive Voice (Task 1 Process/Map)

Quy tắc: Task 1 Process/Map thường dùng passive. Focus vào đối tượng, không phải người thực hiện.

7. Comparative & Superlative

8. Run-on Sentences

❌ Sai ✅ Đúng
The figure increased , it reached 500. The figure increased and reached 500.

Quy tắc: Không nối 2 câu hoàn chỉnh chỉ bằng dấu phẩy. Dùng: and, which, ; hoặc tách thành 2 câu.

9. Word Form

Quy tắc: Adjective + Noun. Adverb + Verb. Kiểm tra word form trước khi nộp bài.

10. Relative Clauses
